The LCA was built on the leadership of the people of Lwala, and the people of Lwala continue to play an integral role in shaping and implementing its vision. The village committees are committees of the board of the LCA, and collaborate with the LCA staff to guide and facilitate the health and education work of the LCA in Lwala. They provide invaluable community insight and are responsible for the sense of community ownership that pervades the work of the LCA.
